XFCE

sudo apt-get install xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin

http://www.webupd8.org/2013/07/whisker-menu-fast-application-launcher.html

 sudo cp lievre.jpg /home/irina/.face

Custom icons for symlinks?

- copy the /usr/share/applications/Thunar.desktop file to your desktop and open the file for editing using a text editor (like mousepad) and:
- edit the "Name=" line to change the label of the icon.
- replace "Exec=Thunar %f" with "Exec=Thunar /path/to/directory"
- Change the "Icon=" line to point to your custom icon file
- Save the file.

Revive shortcuts in Xfce anyway

To define shortcuts for the action “Move window to left/right/up/down workspace”, it can be done in xfwm4-settings or navigate from Settings Manager as below.

  Open Settings Manager from application menu (or run xfce4-settings-manager).
  Navigate to Window Manager, then select Keyboard tab.
  In the tab, scroll down until "Toggle fullscreen" entry. The relevant actions "Move window to..." are listed below it with empty column on the right.
  Do either: Double-click the empty column for corresponding action, or select the row for corresponding action and click "Edit" button.
  A small popup window will appear, then press the shortcut keys to be assigned i.e. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+↑ for previously selected action i.e. Move window to upper workspace.
  xfwm4 settings action shortcut dialog
  Finally, the popup window will be closed and done.
  Repeat step 4 and 5 for other actions.

 sudo apt-get install thunar-archive-plugin

Re: XFCE, when I drag and drop a file from the desktop to thunar, it copies, not move I've not used Thunar specifically. But it is fairly consistent across most file managers that if you hold down the Shift key whilst dragging/dropping a file it will be moved rather than copied.

saveback /usr/share/gvfs/mounts/smb-browse.mount

puis éditer le fichier

vi /usr/share/gvfs/mounts/smb-browse.mount

supprimer ” smb-network;“

Type=smb-network;smb-server
Exec=/usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd-smb-browse
DBusName=org.gtk.vfs.mountpoint.smb_browse
AutoMount=false
Scheme=smb

au prochain reboot c'est réglé
